San Buenaventura de Atitlán Nature Reserve

The San Buenaventura de Atitlán nature reserve is a reserve in the state of Sololá, Guatemala. The reserve created in 1995, includes Lake Atitlán and the area in its environs with three volcanoes.

The area has numerous trails, a butterfly garden, a museum and an infrastructure of cables that interconnect the frond and allow you to get around and admire the flora and fauna of the cloud forest. Fauna

The reserve has an interesting fauna, among which species are coatis, raccoons. They inhabit the ecosystem about 250 species of birds including goldfinches and parrots. In addition there are also snakes and lizards.
