Museum of Valencian Textile

The Valencian Textile Museum of Onteniente was born from a project carried out by the Professor of Museography of the University of Valencia, Rafael Gil along with Marta Berlanga, student of the Master of Cultural Heritage of the University of Valencia, with the intention of explaining how the fabric is being made, with special emphasis on the elements of Ontinyent.

Located on the 1st floor of the Palace of the Villa de Onteniente, it shows a collection of more than 70 objects dating from the 18th century to the present, through which the artisan processes of textile production are described. In this sense, the Museum is developed in four narrative spaces:

The museum has been designed a living project that recovers and preserves the historical memory of the past to build the future.
