Juan Manuel de la Puente

Juan Manuel de la Puente (1692-1753) was a Spanish composer of the Baroque period. He was master of the chapel of the Cathedral of Jaén between 1711 and 1753. His works of 10 to 18 voices fused with mastery genres and musical techniques typical of the Hispanic Baroque, as poly-chorale, traditional form of refrain-coplas, rhetorical resources, with modern characteristics of Italian ancestry without forgetting its own stylistic elements such as the virtuoso treatment of the downturn.
