Josep Maria Pladevall i Fontanet


Josep Maria Pladevall i Fontanet (Sabadell, May 21, 1956) is a professor of sweet flute and Spanish composer. Biography

He studied at the Barcelona Municipal Conservatory of Music - with J. Poch, Manuel Oltra, J. Soler and C. Guinovart - he studied upper flute with Romà Escalas and Marijke Miessen. He has sung in the Cor Madrigal - under the direction of Manuel Cabero - and in the Coral Belles Arts of Sabadell - with Lluís Vila de conductor. As a flutist, he has played with the groups Cuarteto de Pico Frullato and Pico a Cuatro, with whom he has worked the music of the twentieth century written especially for quartet of flutes of peak. He has written more than fifty musical pieces and won several composition awards. Since 1985 he has been a member of the Catalan Composers Association. He has published didactic books for the flute. He is a teacher of flute in the Professional Conservatory and School of Music of Sabadell.
