Cistiro

Cistro (Greek, Κύστυρος) is the name of an ancient Greek city of unknown location.

Belonged to the League of Delos since it appears in the records of tributes of Athens of the year 434/3 a. C.

The Athenian tax register does not provide information on the location of Cistiro. It has been suggested that a city called Pistiro mentioned by Herodotus could be the same city as Cistiro and also that could be identified with the remains of another city called Pistiro of inner Thrace, in Adjiyska Vodenitsa, near Vetren, in Bulgaria. >
