Günther Schuh (soccer player)

Günther Schuh (* 3 October 1940) is a former German footballer.

Schuh played for the SpVgg 07 Ludwigsburg. In the 1970/71 season, Ludwigsburg was second with the amateurs of the VfB Stuttgart second in the first amateur league, which allowed to participate in the ascent to the then second-class regional league south. With his 19 Saisontors, Schuh was decisively involved in this success. Günther Schuh was also one of the most important players of the 07s in the promotion games. So he scored both goals in the 2-1 win against SV Waldhof Mannheim in the decisive uphill game.

After the ascent to the second highest German game class, he joined the Stuttgarter Kickers together with his team mate and sturmpartner Wolfgang Holoch. Here he came on 21 occasions in the 1971/72 season, but he scored only one goal.

He is the father of footballer Timo Werner. Weblinks Edit sourcetext
