First Roman-Carthaginian Treaty


The first Roman-Romanian treaty was a treaty of friendship and reciprocal assistance between these two emerging powers of the Mediterranean. It is not known with certainty when the covenant was sealed. Thanks to other writings it has been estimated that the closest date was the year 508 or 507 a. C. All that is known of this treaty is based on the annotations that Polibio did.
