Ignacio Peraldí Carranza


Captain Ignacio Peraldi Carranza was a Mexican military man who participated in the Mexican Revolution. He was born in Sierra Mojada, Coahuila, on June 2, 1895; was son of Angel Francisco Peraldí Peraldí and of Hermelinda Carranza Garza, sister of Venustiano Carranza. He carried out his first studies in a school of the locality and soon entered to the school of Agriculture Escobar Hermanos, of Ciudad Juárez, since wanted to be Engineer Agronomist. There he was surprised by the fall of the government of President Francisco I. Madero. He and several of his classmates joined the Brigade "Saragossa", Division of the North, headed by General Eugenio Aguirre Benavides and Raul Madero; participating in the main Villistas battles. However, on the occasion of the revolutionary split, he was incorporated into the General Staff of his uncle Jesus Carranza Garza. He died shot in the early days of 1915, when he and his escort were apprehended and killed by Alfonso Santibáñez. He was the brother of General Fernando Peraldí Carranza. He was buried in the Rotunda of the Illustrious Coahuilenses.
