Butt (magazine)


Butt is an international, English-language magazine "for and about male homosexuals" published quarterly in the Netherlands (according to self-presentation on the website). The first edition of the magazine, 16.5 cm x 23.5 cm, was published in 2001 and initiated the Renaissance of the Fagzines in the 2000s.

Publishers are Gert Jonkers and Jop van Bennekom. Among the prominent employees are the photographers Wolfgang Tillmans and Walter Pfeiffer or the Canadian filmmaker Bruce LaBruce. The magazine is printed on plain pink paper and also contains pornographic illustrations.

Content mainly consists of interviews with homosexual men, often artists and photographicists.
