Emecé Editores is an editorial company that was born in Argentina in 1939 and joined Grupo Planeta in 2002. It has an editorial background with the most diverse genres and the most outstanding authors of the 20th century, such as Jorge Luis Borges, Adolfo Bioy Casares, Albert Camus and Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, with El principito, the best-selling work by Emecé in all its long history. The Emecé Argentina Award is the oldest of the Argentine de fi cition awards. The first edition was celebrated in 1954. Some of the winners were Beatriz Guido, Dalmiro Sáenz, Griselda Gambaro, María Esther de Miguel, Angelica Gorodischer and Federico Jeanmaire. In 2010, for example, corresponded to the novel Dóberman, Gustavo Ferreyra.
