Dr. Vishnu Sridhar Waqqar (4 May 1919 - 3 April 1988) was a major archaeologist of India. He explored ancient rock paintings of Bhimbetka near Bhopal. It is estimated that this picture is 40,000 years old. They were associated with Sanskar Bharati.

Dr. Wakankar ji offered his entire life to save India's cultural heritage. He made the whole world aware of India's rich ancient culture and civilization through its tireless research.
