Software package

A software package is a series of programs that are distributed together. Some of the reasons are often that the operation of each complements or requires of others, in addition to that its objectives are related as a strategy of marketing. Many modern operating systems employ packet management systems that allow the system administrator to incorporate or de-package packages, without at any time remaining installed programs that do not work for lack of others included in their package. The package management system usually also deals with maintaining dependencies between packages: if a package is placed in another, the system installs the package first.

We also find software packages in the commercial distribution of TV, since they usually offer software packages; or for offering a lower price than each program would cost separately or because there is only one joint offer.
