Shiv Dayal Singh


Shri Shiv Dayal Singh Sahab (1861-1878) (Param Purush Puran Dhani Hujur Swami Ji Maharaj) was the first Satguru who started the teachings of Radha Swami Votes. His birth name was Seth Shiv Dayal Singh.

He was born on August 24, 1818 in Janmashtami in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India. At the age of five, he was sent to the school where he learned Hindi, Urdu, Persian and Gurmukhi. He also got a working knowledge of Arabic and Sanskrit languages. Her parents were followers of Hathras, the supreme saint of India, Tulsi Sahab.

In a young age, she was married to Narayani Devi, daughter of Izzat Rai of Faridabad. His nature was very huge and he was very devoted to her husband. From Shiv Dyal Singh School, Banda was selected as a specialist in Persian for a government office. He did not come to that job. He left the job and got a job as a Persian teacher in Talukka of Vallabhgarh Estate. World achievements did not attract them and they left that good job too. He returned home to devote all his time to religious work.

He made use of the word Surat from the age of 5 years. In 1861, he released the Satsang general logo on the day of Vasant Panchami (the festival of spring).

Swamiji named his philosophy "Satnam Anami". This movement was known as Radhaswamy. "Radha" means "Surat" and Swamiji means "word or master", meaning "to get into the word or owner of Surat." The computational system taught by Swami ji is known as "Surat Shabad Yoga".

Swamiji has described the difference between spirituality and true 'Naam'.

In 'Sarab Shardha Vartik', there are satsangs of Swami Ji Maharaj which he gave till 1878. These are important teachings of this opinion. The emotional access to his verse is very deep in 'Abhaar Vaish Chabad Bandh' which is a successful and composite form of poetic expressions of various languages ​​of North India such as Vaadi Bid, Awadhi, Braj Bhasha, Rajasthani and Punjabi etc.
