Fundamental theology
Basic Theology is a discipline of Catholic Theology in research and teaching.
The areas of fundamental theologyIt is a function of fundamental Theology to present from the point of view of reason the foundations and characteristics of the Christian faith, analyzing its conditions and developing the essential differences with respect to other visions of the world and other religions.
Its origins lie in the apologies of the first centuries of Christianity and in Apologetics. The denomination began to be used in century XIX.
In the 21st century, fundamental theology is studied in the same way as before apologetics with two approaches: in Germany from the search for Truth and Rome, which seeks to structure, to ground the person from the proposal of meaning "give the reason of your hope to everyone who asks you "(1 Peter 3:15).
