Tlapanekic (Me'phaa) is an indigenous language in Mexico, or a group of closely related languages ​​spoken by the ethnicity of the tlapanecs. It belongs to the language family of the Otomangue languages. According to the census of 2010, about 127,000 people in the state of Guerrero (especially in the Acatepec municipalities, Atlixtac, Malinaltepec, Tlacoapa, San Luis Acatlán and Zapotitlán Tablas) are also located in Atlamajalcingo del Monte, Metlatonoc, Tlapa, Quechultenango and Ayutla , Azoyú and Acapulco). Due to the geographical fragmentation of the language area, there are widely differing regional variants. SIL International divides Tlapanek into four separate languages ​​(Acatepec, Azoyú, Malinaltepec and Tlacoapa).
