Schaumburg-Lippe Evangelical Lutheran Church

The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Schaumburg-Lippe, is one of the 22 member churches (national churches) of the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD). Like all churches in the state, it is a public corporation. The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Schaumburg-Lippe, based in Bückeburg (Schaumburg) has 61,908 members (December 2005) in 22 parishes and is one of the smallest regional churches in Germany. It is one of the Lutheran churches in the Evangelical Church and member of the United Evangelical Lutheran Church of Germany (VELKD) and the Confederation of Protestant Churches of Lower Saxony.
