Ronald Romm


Ronald Romm (born December 4, 1946 in New York) is an American trumpeter. He was a member of the family band "The Romm-Antics" at age 12, and was already a senior in the music scene in Los Angeles. "

He studied at the University of Southern California, earned bachelor's and master's degrees in New York at the Juilliard School under his teacher William Vacchiano.

In 1971, he joined the newly formed Canadian Brass Brass Quartet, with whom he completed approximately 4500 performances and 60 recordings and CD recordings worldwide for 29 years.

In 2000, he left the ensemble, since 2001 he is professor for trumpet at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a member of the Illinois Brass Quintet.
