Pampanico

Pampanico is a population entity within the town of El Ejido (Almeria, Spain), located to the north of the municipality, at the foot of the Sierra de Gádor. The population in 2012 was 1,234 inhabitants. Population nuclei

It has two distinct nuclei and quite a dispersed population. The original nucleus that gives name to the population is the Sale of Pampanico, and it is located almost in the north limit of the municipal term, in the highway towards Dalías. It has a hermitage dedicated San Rafael. The southern core, also called the Carpenters' Neighborhood, is of more recent formation and contains a primary school and other services.
