F Segment

The F segment is an automobile segment that sits above the E. These vehicles are at least 5.00 m and are typically more powerful, luxurious and expensive than those of previous segments.

A F-segment passenger car almost always has a sedan body. Alternative ways of naming them are "luxury saloon", "sumptuous automobile" and "performance car". In general, passenger cars are designed with passenger comfort in mind rather than the driver's comfort. Some models present in the current market are the Mercedes-Benz S Class, Honda Legend, Toyota Crown, Nissan Cedric, Chevrolet Caprice, Chevrolet Impala, BMW 7 Series, Lincoln MKS, Cadillac DTS, Audi A8, Aston Martin Rapide, Jaguar XJ, Cadillac STS, Lexus LS, Maserati Quattroporte, Volkswagen Phaeton, Rolls-Royce, Bentley Flyng Spur and Azure (and its variant, Brooklands), Kia K9, the Hyundai Equus and the Porsche Panamera.

An SUV equivalent in size to a F-segment tourism is often referred to as a "big SUV"; usually have three rows of seats and a larger trunk than smaller SUVs such as the Bentayga Bentayga, Volvo XC90, Mercedes-Benz GLS, Audi Q7, Lexus LX, Cadillac Escalade, Lincoln Navigator , the Range Rover Sport, the BMW X5, and the Maserati Levante.
