Couscousière

Couscousiere of aluminum

A couscousiere (or a couscousier) is a kitchen appliance. It is mainly used to prepare couscous.

A couscousiere consists of two parts: a sieve and an elongated pot. Into the sieve, couscous is added and put into the pot of water or a sauce. While the water or the sauce is boiling, steam is created, which rises to the couscous grains. This gives the couscous.

A good couscousiere is made of copper and is therefore more expensive than traditional couscousièren made of aluminum. Weblinks Edit sourcetext Wiktionary: Couscousière - Meaning of the meaning, word origin, synonyms, translations
