John Thattumkal

John Thattumkal SSC (* 23 June 1950 in Arthunkal, Kerala, India) is the old bishop of Cochin. Edit LifeQualtext

John Thattumkal joined the religious order of the priestly society of St. Giuseppe Benedetto Cottolengo, and received the priestly ordination on 3 August 1974. He promoted in Canon Law and Private Law.

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Cochin on May 10, The archbishop of Verapoly, Daniel Acharuparambil OCD, consecrated him to the bishop on the 25th June of that year; Co-conspirators were Francis Kallarakal, Bishop of Kottapuram, and Peter Michael Chenaparampil, Bishop of Alleppey.
