Great Little Bit

The Großsteingrab Kleinziethen was a megalithic grave of probably the Neolithic funnel beaker culture near Kleinziethen, a district of Ziethen in the district of Barnim (Brandenburg). It was discovered in 1985/86 during plowing on a terrain dome and destroyed. An emergency excavation yielded only a few results. The tomb consisted of several large boulders surrounded by a stone pack. There are no indications for over-dimensioning and alignment. Also the type is not definable, Eberhard Kirsch arranges the plant only generally as large Steingrab or possible block chamber, Hans-Jürgen Beier generally as Großsteingrab. During the recovery, human skeletal remains were found in the overburden, including skull fragments and teeth. Grave items have not been determined. Edit source text
