Homer poems

Homeric poems are the poems attributed to Homer. Criticism has been revising the authorship of each of them, reaching different conclusions, both on the impossibility of all of them being the work of the same poet (including that each of them separately is the work of a single author) impossibility of belonging to the same epoch (before or after the eighth century BC - see Homer # Dating). These issues remain controversial, just as the character's own historicity (homeric question) is still debated. Notes
