Eladio Acosta Arteaga
Eladio Acosta Arteaga (Latin America, Antioquia, April 9, 1916 - Medellin, January 30, 2012) was a Colombian prelate of the Catholic Church.
Arteaga was born in La América, Colombia in 1916 and was ordained a priest on August 7, 1949, in the religious order of the Congregation of Jesus and Mary. Arteaga was appointed bishop of the Archdiocese of Santa Fe de Antioquia, on March 6, 1970 by Pope Paul VI. He remained in the diocese until his retirement on October 10, 1992, when he presented his resignation to Pope John Paul II on the grounds of age. He died in 2012, at the age of 95.
