The 1998 Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix was the second round of the 1998 World Motorcycle Championship. It took place on the weekend of April 17-19, 1998 at the Johor Circuit in Pasir Gudang , Johor, Malaysia. The 500cc race was won by Mick Doohan, followed by Carlos Checa and Max Biaggi. Tetsuya Harada won the 250cc test, ahead of Tohru Ukawa and Olivier Jacque. The 125cc race was won by Noboru Ueda, Mirko Giansanti was second and Tomomi Manako third.
