Dasometría

The dasometry is divided into four parts:

In some countries, such as Spain, the discipline that deals with forest measurements is distinguished from forest inventory, which is understood as a matter very close to the dasometry, but different. In other countries, it is usual to consider both the dasometry and the Forest Inventory as a single subject of study, also calling it "forest biometry". Thus the French and Italians use the word "dendrometrie" and "dendrometry" respectively to refer to the discipline that encompasses both subjects. The Anglo-Saxons "Forest Mensuration" and the German "Holzmesskunde" use the term "Forest measurements" to name these disciplines in their respective languages, as do the Portuguese-speaking countries, which they call "Forest Measurement". >
