Yogesh Chandra Chatterjee

Yogesh Chandra Chatterjee (1895-1967) was originally a revolutionary Bengalis. He was an active member of the Bengalis's Appealing Committee and the United States (Uttar Pradesh), the Indian Republican Association. In total, he was a true freedom fighter. While working in the Appropriation Committee of Bengal, he was given a number of inhuman tortures by the police, but they did not get tired. He had received life imprisonment in the Kakori Dam. Brief Biography

Yogesh Chandra Chatterjee was born in 1895 in Gawadia village of Dhaka district. In 1916 they were arrested for the first time. At that time he was an active member of the Anushilan Committee. Heavy tortures were given by the police but they kept giving the same answer - "I do not know anything." After being released from prison in 1937, he first formed the Congress Socialist Party. A few years later, he disillusioned with that party, and in 1940 he formed the Revolutionary Socialist Party. From 1940 to 1953 he continued his general secretary After being Vice-President of United Socialist Organization for only one year in 1949, he was an associate organization of the All India Trade Union Congress, which was a continuous vice president since 1949 to 1953.
