Wakatak
Destruction of Nandivardhan fort
Wakatak is used for a dynasty of ancient India which ruled from the middle of the third century to the sixth century. Why is that lineage related to this name, it is difficult to correctly answer this question. In fact, there is a place in Waqat, which has been a place in India, where the dynasty's rule is called Wakatak. Therefore, the first king has been called the "Wakatak Deshkatu:" in the Ajanta text. The rule of this dynasty was more extensive on Madhya Pradesh and ancient Barar (Andhra Pradesh), the first of which is the name of the ruler Vindhyashakti in Vayupuraan and Ajantaka. Perhaps the first king was venerated with the title of 'Vindhyashakti' due to ruling on the Vindhya mountain part. It is difficult to present the authentic history of this monarch, because no record or symbol of Vindhya Shakti has been available yet. In the middle of the third century, due to the decline of the Satvahana state, Vindhya Shakti got the opportunity, but its success could not last. His son, First Pearson, made the dynasty's status immortal. Studies of the records show that the first supervisor made four Ashwamedhs in the south of the state expansion and held the title of Emperor.
In the absence of powerful monarch contemporary of Pravarsen, the Vakataka state expanded in Andhra Pradesh and Central India. Vijhcharaj, ruler of Bagheleland, has also been mentioned in the column of Seagragupta. Pravarnas had possibly occupied the first phase of the fourth century, on the East-East India, Malwa, Gujarat, Kathiwar, but there is no evidence for confirmation. It is certain that the influences of Pravarnas spread to the south. But in many parts he continued to rule directly, it is not clear. It would be fair to say that it was the work of converting the Vakashat kingdom into the form of the empire. First Pravarsen confirmed this with Vedic jiggers. In the middle of the fourth century his plant was the successor of the state of Rudrassen, because the eldest son of Prabhassan had died Gatamaputra. History of Maharaja Rudrasen I of the third ruler of the Wakatak dynasty is considered very controversial. Initially, he could not strengthen his position due to objections and weakness. Some scholars believe that their patriarchal kingdom wanted to rule by dividing, but none other than the patriarchal service is not attainable. Sarasena had established its dominion in the south-western part of Wakataka State (Berar and Northwest Territories of Andhra Pradesh), its descendants ruled the fifth century. It is correct to assume in this context that his maternal grandfather Bharishiv Maharaj Bhavnag helped in the untimely situation of Rudrasen I, which consequently Rudrasen could firm up his power. (Champak Tamrrakra Ka I.E., AD Bh. 3, P. 226) In the matter of the destruction of this Wakatak king, there is a false assumption of some people that Rudrasen first was destroyed by the upliftment of Gupta Gupta. Gupta Samrat Samudragupta killed Wakataka Naresh Rudrasen I in the battle of Kaushambi (Swa-O. R. E., 4, P. 30-40, or in the Digvijay of northern India). The authenticity of Samudragupta proves to be the defeated Naresh Rudradwa, mentioned in Prayag, this equation is never reasoned that the Rudra dev and Vakataka Maharaj first Rudras There was neither one person nor Samagragupta was able to face any problem, and therefore there is no question of being defeated or succinct, on the contrary it would be appropriate to say that the Gupta emperor made a friendship with the Wakatak dynasty, on the basis of Wakatak records. It is true to express the view that this lineage remained intact for many generations. The growth of treasury, army and prestige has been going on for the past hundred years (Manchosa Dada The son of patriarch: A.E., Bh. 3, P. 261), his son Prasishesisan first conquered Kunal and strengthened the Wakatak dynasty in southern India, due to its important location, the Gupta Emperor II Chandragupta (AD 380 near), your daughter had to marry Yuvraj Rudrasen. Due to this marital relationship, the secret influence has become overwhelming in South India. As a result, the second Rudrasen had joined the campaign of the conquest of his breath, when he was enthroned.
Due to the premature death of Second Rudrasen, his wife Pratyathy Gupta began to rule as a protector of the unlettered sons. Second Chandragupta also gave active support to the Wakatad rule as a well-wisher. Co-operatives were appointed from Pataliputra This was the reason that Gupta Gupta was mentioned in the epic poem of Imtab Gupta. In time, Yuvraj Damodarseen sat on the throne in the name of the second governance, but the articles of this line indicate that no propaganda campaign could be undertaken from Operation to Second Prostration. At the end of the fifth century Rajasatta went to Harishan, ruler of Vanimshakha (descendent of Sarasena), in the Ajanta text, which has been called Kuntal, Avanti, Lat, Koshal, Kalinga and the winner of Andhra countries (Indian Culture, Bhd. 7, p. 372) Because of the weakness of the heirs, the Wakatak dynasty was destroyed. Built in the Ajanta caves, conservation of the kings of Vatsgulam branch of Buddhist Bihar and Chaitya Wakataka kingdom, which were made by cutting the shell.
By the study of records, it is known that in the South India, the Wakatak State has been very prosperous, strong and proud. This lineage was also divided in cultural uplift. "Celiband" and "Harivijay Poetry" are considered compositions of Perswaran II and Sarasena, respectively, in Prakrit Kavya. In the same way, Prakrit poetry and quoted name has been given the name of "Vidyabhi style". Wakatkarnesh was a follower of Vedic religion, that is why many yajnas are found in articles. Its work in the field of art has been laudable. Ajanta's painting got more encouragement in the Wakataka period, which is considered as a unique graffiti in the world. The temple of Nachna was also built in this era and guided by the same architecture was done in Udaygiri, Devgarh and Ajanta. The discipline of all subjects shows that the Wakat kings displayed special affection in cultural uplift rather than the state. This is the specialty of this nature.
