Stewart Parvin
Stewart Parvin (* 1967) is a British fashion designer and court supplier of Queen Elizabeth II. He is the third preferred designer of the Queen after his predecessors Sir Edwin Hardy Amies († 2003) and Norman Hartnell
Parvin grew up in Ascot / Berkshire.
He graduated from the Edinburgh College of Art and opened his own business in 1995. After working for the Queen since the year 2000, Andrea Kelly was appointed Royal Warrant in 2007, the official appointment as court supplier. He designed and fabricated a queen's dress for the Golden Jubilee 2002 in only 10 days, because it was not until late that one was still missing. Even the dressing rooms for the Diamond Jubilee 2012 are partly by him.
In addition to the clothes for Elizabeth II, he also works for other members of the royal family, such as for Princess Anne and her daughter Zara Phillips. A simple dress from him costs from 3,000 pounds upwards to several tens of thousands of pounds for a wedding dress, which he also designs.
Parvin comments occasionally in interviews about the queen's habits, such as that she has her new shoes registered by court officials before she puts them on herself.
Parvin lives with his life companion Ben Webster in Central London. Edit sourcetext Weblinks Edit sourcetext
