Shridhar Bhaskar Vernekar
Dr. Shridhar Bhaskar Waranekar (31 July 1918 -) was a Sanskrit scholar and nationalist poet. He was born in Nagpur. Works
Srishipaparajyayam is his most famous composition. He was awarded the Sahitya Akademi Award (Sanskrit) in 1974. This is an epic described in 68 Sargo. This book is also included in the course of Sanskrit Literature for the Civil Services Examination of the Union Public Service Commission. His second famous composition is - 'Sanskrit Classics Kosh'. His other compositions are 'Bharat Ratnathakam' and 'Swatantryavirshatakam'. Awards and rewards
President Dr. Shraddhar was given President Prize, Kalidas Respect, Saraswati Honor of Birla Foundation etc. Jagadguru Shankaracharya gave him the honor of 'Prawat Bharati'.
