Shannon Vreeland (born November 15, 1991) is an American international swimmer of freestyle events and an Olympic gold medalist. He was a member of the 2012 US Olympic Team, and won a gold medal in the 4 × 200 freestyle relay at the 2012 London Olympics. It is part of the current US record in the 4x100 freestyle relay. > Vreeland was born in St. Louis, Missouri, daughter of Connie and Daniel Vreeland, and has a twin sister, Michelle. She grew up in Overland Park, Kansas, and attended Blue Valley West High School, where she graduated in 2010.
