Vikramaditya 6
Vikramaditya VI (1076 - 1126 AD) was the ruler of Western Chalukya. He deposed his elder brother, Someshwar II, and sat on the throne. Chalukya-Vikrama Samvat was started on its governance. He was the greatest, mighty in all Chalukya kings and his rule was the longest. He assumed the title of 'Paramideeva' and 'Tribhuvanmal'.
He was the patron and augerator of art and literature. In his court, Kannada and the famous poet of Sanskrit were adorned. His brother Kirtivisma wrote a book called 'Govaidya' in Kannada. Brahmashiv wrote a book titled 'Time Parikhya' in Kannada and got the title of 'poetic poetry'. Before the 12th century no one should write as many inscriptions in Kannada as Vikramaditya VItha did. The famous Sanskrit poet Bilhhana wrote the book 'Vikramankadevchitrita', the book's commemorative book. Vigneshwar wrote a famous book titled Mitakshara related to Hindu law. One of his queens (called Abhinav Saraswati) named Chandladevi was good dancer. At the time of his climax, the vast empire of Chandragupta VI was extended from the Kaveri river in south India to the Narmada river in central India.
