Gulu

Gulussa (Greek Γολόσσης, tamazight ⴳⵓⵍⵓⵙⵙⴰ; † before 118 BC) was the second son of the Numid king Massinissa and since his death (149 BC) King of the Numidian Empire together with his brothers Micipsa and Mastanabal up to his own death.

In the year 150 BC, Gulussa was ambassador of his father to Carthage and then supported the Romans in the Third Punic War. During this time he conducted negotiations with the Carthaginian leader Hasdrubal and made the acquaintance of the historian Polybios.

Gulussa had a son named Massiva, but apparently did not play any part in the division of the empire between the sons of Micipsas and Mastanabals. Edit sourcetext Edit source text
