Battle of the Collejares

The battle of the Collejares or simply of Collejares faced, in 1406 Enrique III of Castile with the kingdom of Granada. Castilla had signed a peace with the Nasrid kingdom of Granada. The swings of power in the court of Granada broke the agreement. Muhammed VII, impelled by the benimerines of Morocco, invaded territories of Murcia. Enrique III of Castile, after completing a series of warlike actions against Portugal that were solved with the peace of 1402, saw the opportunity to open a new front against Granada, last Muslim stronghold in the peninsula facing both sides in the proximities of Collejares, locality Jiennense near Úbeda and Baeza. Castilian weapons defeated those of Granada. Enrique III died very few months later.
