As a junior, Patapol Ngernsrisuk achieved his first great success when he finished third in the badminton junior world championship in 1998 with Sudket Prapakamol. Patapol started Ngernsrisuk at Olympia in 2004, also in double with Prapakamol. The Thai pairing, however, already turned out from England in round one against Anthony Clark and Nathan Robertson. Both also started at the 2006 World Cup, but did not go any further than the second round.
