CloneCD Control File
A CloneCD Control File is a text descriptor with the .ccd extension used by CloneCD to mark the properties of a CD / DVD image. These files need to be combined with an image file (usually with the .img extension) to be burned. It can also come with a subchannel file (usually .sub).
The .ccd extension can be used directly by the Virtual CloneDrive mount. It can also be mounted with third party devices like Daemon Tools and Alcohol 120%.
The ccd2iso command line Linux application is available to convert ISO 9660 CCD / IMG files to an ISO image.
The CUE / CUBE and MDS / MDF formats have a structure similar to the CCD / IMG format, containing both a raw disk image and a descriptor file.
