Excalibur (Valleyfair)

Excalibur in Valleyfair! (Shakopee, Minnesota, USA) is a special Coaster Systems model of the manufacturer Arrow Dynamics, which was opened in 1989.

It is 31 m high and has a first descent of 32 m, reaching a top speed of 88 km / h. Excalibur is one of only a few roller coasters worldwide with steel rails and wooden structure. Two other roller coasters of this category are Gemini and Cedar Creek Mine Ride in Cedar Point.

A few years after the train was built, reduction brakes were erected at the apex of the first hill, and the rails of the low point and the first half of the curve were exchanged to reduce the roughness. The Fotopunkt and the Fotogeschäft were also removed. The Fotoladen was replaced by a snack stand. Edit Trace Text

Excalibur has two trains each with five cars. Each car can accommodate six people (three rows of two persons).
