Ferricromo
Ferricrome is a siderophore. Chemically it is a complex formed by a cyclic hexapeptide binder an iron atom. It was isolated in 1952 from the fungus Ustilago sphaerogena (Ustilaginales). It is produced by fungi of that genus (Ustilago) and by others of the genera Aspergillus and Penicillium. Bibliography
