ARM Sonora (PO-152)


The Sonora ARM (PO-152) is a Durango-class oceanic patrol vessel of the Mexican Navy, ARM. Sonora (PO-152) sailed with the name "Melchor Ocampo" (FC-2002) has a main turret of 4 inches, Helipad and hangar for helicopters, currently used mainly for the fight against drug cartels. It is also armed with 9K38 Igla missiles. Like other ships of this class, it was designed and built in the shipyards of Mexico, and is sometimes referred to as a compact frigate. It was named by the Mexican state of Sonora. Also works under the trinomial concept Helicopter, Ship and Interceptor
