The Cabinet Özal I was the 45th Government of Turkey, headed by Prime Minister Turgut Özal from 13 December 1983 to 21 December 1987. It was the first civilian government after the military coup of 12 September 1980 and was formed after the victory of the motherland division ANAP (Anavatan Partisi) in the election of 6 November 1983. The ANAP also won the election of 29 October 1987, on which Minister President Özal formed the Cabinet Özal II on 21 December 1987.
