Jihad Makdissi


Jihad Makdissi (Arabic: جهاد مقدسي) is a Syrian diplomat, who was spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 1998 to 2012. It comes from the Christian minority of Damascus. Edit BiographyCodetext

Jihad Makdissi went to the Gymnasium-Only in Damascus. He received his master's degree in diplomacy and research at the University of Westminster in the United Kingdom in 2009.

Makdissi worked for ten years at the Syrian embassy in London. He returned during the Syrian Civil War to become spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs under Bashar al-Assad's presidency.

He stayed in that office until his departure from the Baath government of Assad on 30 November 2012 and traveled to the United States. Single-level Edit source text
