Giorgio Cavazzano

Giorgio Cavazzano was born in Venice in 1947 and is an Italian comic strip cartoonist. He began his career at the age of 14, as a colorist for Romano Scarpa. He made comic strips of characters from The Walt Disney Company such as Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Rico McPato and others.

His work is recognized for combining the traditional appearance of Disney characters with very realistic illustrations of technological devices and machines. This style had a great influence on most Disney illustrators of the new generation.

He has received numerous awards and recognitions for his work in comic strips. In addition to working for Disney, he has made other lesser known comics and has worked in advertising.
