Carillon Kaunas




Carillon Kaunas is a carillon in Kaunas, the second largest city in Lithuania. It has 35 bells made in Belgium in 1935. The Kaunas Glockenspiel was installed in the tower of the Vytautas-Museum in 1937 on the initiative of Vladas Nagevičius and composer Juozas Tallet-Kelpša. In 2006 the Carillon was supplemented with 14 bells. Regular concerts began in 1956. The first musicians were Viktoras Kuprevičius and Giedrius Kuprevičius.
