Valentín de Passau


Valentin of Retia or of Passau was a bishop of Retia died towards the 475; revered as a saint, the liturgical holiday is January 7.

He preached to the stronghold and, by 435, was appointed first bishop of Passau. He died at 475 in Meran, in the Italian Tyrol, being buried near the city, in Mais. Veneration
