Peter Herrmann (politician)


Georg Peter Herrmann (born 21 February 1828 in Schwanheim, Germany, January 3, 1902) was a German official, politician and national parliamentary deputy of the Grand Duchy of Hesse

Peter Herrmann was the son of the landlady and boxmaster Ludwig Herrmann (1797-1862) and his wife Margarethe geborene Schmidt (1801-1853). Peter Herrmann, who was an evangelical confession, married Annilie-born Dilger (1834-1917) on April 7, 1863.

Herrmann was the chief firefighter of the Grand Ducal artillery corps. He became 1862 assistants second class at the Mainz registry office Mainz, 1867 main registration assistant 1st class in Mainz and 1869 checker at the Nebenzollamt 1st class Bensheim with the local enterprise. In 1872 he became a secondary customs officer in Bensheim. In 1889, he was transferred to Bingen as the main tax authority. After the appointment to the government council in 1896, he was retired in 1898.

In the 26 th to 28 th election period (1887-1893), he was a deputy of the Second Chamber of the Grand Duchy of Hesse. In the provinces, he represented the electoral district of Starkenburg 5 / Fürth.
