Robert Kerketta
Robert Kerketta SDB (October 22, 1932 in Kacharigaon, Assam, according to other source Amadanga) is an Indian religious priest and emeritus Roman Catholic bishop. Edit LifeQualtext
On May 24, 1951, Kerketta made the First Order Vows in Yercaud, Salem District, in the Order of Salesians of Don Bosco. After the philosophical-theological studies he received the ordination of priests in Turin on February 11, 1963.
On 21 May 1970 Pope Paul VI appointed him to the Bishop of Dibrugarh, the ordination took place on 18 October of that year by Archbishop Hubert D 'Rosario SDB. On October 24, 1980, he was transferred to the Diocese of Tezpur by Pope John Paul II. The installation took place on 31 January 1981. His resignation was on 3 December 2007 by Pope Benedict XVI. accepted. His episcopal wording is "Trust in God and do good." Weblinks Edit sourcetext
