He became a lecturer in ethnology at the University of Paris in 1987. In the same year, he became the last medal winner of the sociology prize of Henri Dumarest of the Académie française for his work "Ethnologie de la chambre à coucher".

Pascal Dibie was born on March 16, 1949 in Paris. After studying history, he enrolled in the course of Anthrological-Ethnological-Religious Science and graduated in 1975. He teaches history at various colleges (Schola Cantorum, René Descartes University, ILERI). At the end of the 1970s, he launched the ethnological booklet (1976) and launched the course "l'ethnologie du monde moderne" (The Ethnology of the Modern World) in Paris in 1978. Dibie is also the author of countless books linked to a romantic spelling and his knowledge of ethnology, including: "Ethnology of the door" (2012) and "Ethnology of the chambre à coucher" (ethnology of the bedroom) (2000).
