Herbert Zdarzil

Herbert Zdarzil (born October 1, 1928 in Vienna, Austria, December 14, 2008) was an Austrian educator who was active mainly in the field of pedagogical anthropology and andragogics. He was a university professor at the University of Vienna from 1971 to 1997. From 1977 to 1979 he was dean, from 1977 to 1997 he was director of the Lehramtsprüfskommission. He was chairman of several university commissions (such as the Senate Commission, the Library Commission) and the representative of Austria in the Council of Europe's University Commission. Zdarzil was buried at the Hernals cemetery in Vienna.
