Juan Bacon


Juan Tocino, dancer and choreographer born in Malaga in 1967. From an early age he became interested in aesthetic sports such as gymnastics and figure skating which began with English trainer Toni Congdon. He emphasized like skater winning numerous medals. After finishing his stage as a skater decided to devote himself completely to the dance, but not before taking advantage of working with the theater group "Els comedients", which gave him a vision of the theatrical world.

He studied dance at the theater institute in Seville under the tutelage of Pilar Perez Calvete. He was trained in this center also with master classes with the teacher Jose Granero and Carl Paris among others. And she receives a scholarship to study at the prestigious "Martha Graham School of Dance" dance school. In New York. This will open many doors in the life of this young student. In this school it studies under the tutelage of Pearl Lang, Bertrand Ross, Dudley Williams, Amgard Von Vanderleben, among other illustrious professors. He also studied classical ballet with Katherine Kingsley (A ballet school) and Master Dokowsky at the New York Conservatoire.

He completed his choreographic studies in 1997. He joined the Martha Graham Ensemble company and later with the lead company. In this company dances diverse roles including the figure of Adan in the duet of Embattled Garden; as well as the Christ in the "Penitent."

As a choreographer and skating coach, there are numerous European and world champions of ice and figure skating. He has worked as an artistic trainer and choreographer for the Spanish National Figure Skating Team as well as the UK National Team. He was also a choreographer and skating coach for the BBC series "Skate Nation"

At present, Juan Tocino resides in London and devotes himself to his other great passion painting
