Juan Serrano Gómez (Barbadillo de Herreros, March 8, 1837-1898) was a Spanish regenerationist and military writer.
Son of a pastor and mayor of Barbadillo de Herreros, Juan Serrano Gómez joined the Army in 1857. He gained experience in the Carlist wars and conflicts in the Philippines. From 1885, he worked for Costa with the writing of reports on the Castilian and Andalusian field and on the Spanish colonial organization in the Philippines.
Author of several articles in the Journal of Commercial Geography and a report on the customary law of Barbadillo de Herreros and Sierra Burgalesa for the work of Joaquin Costa Materials for the study of customary municipal law of Spain (1885). · Notes
